A magic place for trans and intersex children.

We are so lucky to live in Portland, Oregon. We are surrounded by “You Are Safe Here” signs in businesses, it’s not uncommon to ask for pronouns before meetings, events, and classes, and there is access to gender affirming care. We have yet to find, though, a community exclusively for young children (ages 5-12) to simply enjoy the magic of childhood without the worry and stress that comes along with being a young trans or intersex person. Enter q Social Club.

“Membership” never comes with a cost and we absolutely do not determine whether a child is trans, intersex or not. Gender expression is as unique as each individual person and we celebrate that.

q Social Club provides an opportunity for children to hang out with other children who just get what it’s like. Watching movies (with snacks of course), celebrating birthdays, trampoline parks, picnics, beach visits, the world is their oyster.

q Social Club is youth-led with middle and high school trans and intersex youth serving as mentors and directors.
